Key Responsibilities
- Perform IV compounding ensuring aseptic technique and accuracy
- Manage medication distribution through Pyxis automation system
- Assist with filling and replenishing Pyxis units
- Handle medication order entry using Paragon/Allscripts systems
- Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to maintain workflow and patient safety
- Participate in rotating shifts to provide consistent coverage, including weekends
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician License required
- Experience with inpatient pharmacy operations, including IV compounding and automated dispensing systems
- Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts order entry and Pyxis automation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and variable schedule times
Location:
- This position is based in the Norwalk, CA area and is best suited for local candidates.
Schedule
- Shift rotates between 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM on weekdays
- Weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday
Contract Details
- Approximately 40 hours per week full-time for the first 4 weeks, then transitioning to PRN
- Immediate start date is preferred
